Tomorrow is the BIG day

Well, were here, tomorrow is the day we go get Hoover, we have a very busy weekend ahead as the little guy is 4 hours away. So Saturday will be spent going to get him, then Sunday will be grocery day, and we are having friends over for brunch. I am also puppy sitting for a friend tonight through till we get back from getting our own puppy. Yes a busy, busy weekend for the family, but when Sunday evening rolls around it will feel like the craziness of the weekend was all worth while. I am very anxious to show him off but he will only have his first set of needles till June 1st and still need his 3rd set before he is allowed to go to town and socialize with other doggies. He will however be able to come along for the rides out to places and visit with people, and that makes me glad. The hole in my heart is still aching for my boy Oscar and I think that no dog out there could ever fill the void that is left, but maybe one day I will love little Hoover as much as Oscar and my heart will be whole again.
We are expecting many rest stops on the trip home, but hoping to make it back long before dark. Here's hoping the weather cooperates for us as well. We woke up to about 1-2 inches of snow on the lawns and decks on Tuesday, proving that you just never know when you live in the north what the weather will bring you any time of year. My dogs have a large fenced in area dedicated for them to be able to run around and play in safety, about 4 feet high fence. They get an area about 35 x 110 for them to run around in. I have spent the last few weeks raking up leaves, picking up poop(although I picked up most all winter) and garbage that has blown into their yard, there was some piles of raspberry bushes and pieces of wood in there that we didn't have a chance to clean up last year, and wasn't made a priority cause our dogs dont chew. All has been cleaned up, the yard looks beautiful and the grass is growing all ready. He sure will be one spoiled and lucky puppy!
