Its just beautiful out today... The houndies love it. Not to hot and not raining. The boys thoroughly enjoy this kinda weather. Although the mosquitoes can get rather pesty in this weather when your in the shade. So to tell more about Odie. Apparently he is a owner surrender. Was in the pound in Louisville, most likely waiting to be destroyed. Well along came a little super hero and saved his life and shipped him to her place and found him a home here. He doesn't ever chew. Or bite. He will however get into the garbage, oh and he drinks from the toilet... Gross. So we have been keeping the door shut and making sure that they have fresh water steady. He is a counter surfer extraordinaire. He is extremely gentle. He can catch and speak. He usually sits on command. He loves my kids, as much as Hoover does. He smells funny, lol. But loves getting bathed. He is looking rather spiffy today wearing his little bandanna. Hoover too. After bathing them yesterday they got to wear bandannas. I will let them keep them on till they get too dirty. He is a big boy, pretty much the same size as Hoover, although Hoover is leaner and Odie is a little rounder, but not fat. He barks when he wants something. (Yes a little demanding) He all ready came as Odie, the kids wanted to change his name to Roscoe, as in Roscoe P. Coltrane from the Dukes of Hazard. But I decided he had enough so it wouldn't be fair to change his name, and Odie really seems to suit him. :)
My garden is going really well. Hubby came out and helped me till on the last weekend. I then proceeded to hill my taters. Some of the tomatoes are flowering now, as are a few peppers and zucchini. Its all looking mighty fine.

The lawns are a little out of control and when I went out this morning to fire up the mower the throttle cable broke, so much for getting them mowed. We have so much lawn to keep up with, and then with the garden, ducks, hounds, and kids. I often find myself falling into bed rather late, and exhausted with things still left to do on my list. But life is short so I take the time to enjoy myself, and shop and have fun with the kids. Ain't life grand!!!!
Your bassets are just adorable and love that Odie has settled in so well :)
